Jerry was the man you called when you wanted to know something about lure crafting. He always had an answer or if he didn't he would find the answer for you. For over 5 years I have had the honor of calling him my Pro Staff Director at Do It Corporation. Yes, we connected on a fishing level but Jerry also was a listening ear. I could call him and vent and he would say something crazy that would make me laugh and leave me with an encouraging word. I also had the chance to know Jerry as a brother in Christ. As he started going through his journey with cancer, my Father and I had several chances to help strengthen and encourage him in his Faith. I remember him telling me, Jarad I want to be an example to others on how to act when trials and tribulations come into their lives. Jerry you did it, you displayed a relentless attitude saying lets do what ever it takes to get it done. You fought to the end and even though it's not the ending I would have liked, I can say in the lyrics of the old hymn, It is well with my soul. Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come, Let this blest assurance control, That Christ has regarded my helpless estate, And hath shed His own blood for my soul. My father and I will miss you greatly.
